SAVANNAH LUCAS
WRITER | PRODUCER
Hailing from the scruffy southern town of Knoxville, Tennessee, I am a queer Brooklyn-based writer and producer with an extensive background in unscripted television. My most recent professional projects include several feature-length documentaries and limited series for Tubi Originals. Previously, I was the head writer on Oxygen's Snapped for several seasons.
Aside from my projects actively in production, I also work alongside television executives in the development sphere–writing pitch copy, identifying unique subjects, conducting preliminary research, and writing copy for decks, as well as designing them. With most of my projects centering the complexities of the human experience, I am skilled at finding dynamic characters who can drive a narrative, allowing audiences to better connect with a story.
In both my professional projects and independent screenplays, I strive to promote authentic representation of the LGBTQ+ community through the creation of three-dimensional characters whose existence in narratives isn't tokenized.
